May 2004. Lillies of the Valley growing wild in the Bavarian Alps. This was the first time I've ever seen Lilly of the Valley in the wild. They were growing in open woodland interspersed with low blueberry bushes on the shores of a beautiful little lake near Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Germany.
